Wow, I haven't been on here in a while. I haven't really had much to submit, but it's not like I have any avid fans, so that means I'm not really guilty. :sleepy: Ah, Summer. Anyway, back to the title. I was bored, and looking up animal friendly products on peta2, and came to the conclusion that almost everything that we have in our bathroom comes from companies that use animal testing on their products or ingredients. Now, it'll be easy to convert all of my own products, but I'm not sure if I can get my parents to do the same. I'm going to try to talk to them about the unnecessary cruelty in animal testing, and why we shouldn't buy their products, but I'm not so sure that I can get them to go along with it. (My mom always uses L'Oreal products to dye her hair, and I'm not sure how many other brands have the dye and highlighter kit together.) I'm not a vegetarian (anymore), but I still don't believe in animal cruelty, or the unnecessary killing of animals, so this issue really does concern me. I'm definitely going to talk to them about how much this means to me, but I'm not so sure it will work. Even getting them to reduce the amount of animal unfriendly products would be good. Any advice is welcome, but not desperately needed.

On another note, I got my Summer reading book, as well as another book to read for fun. The one for my amusement is called "Evil Serial Killers". [link] It talks about all of these different serial killers, and their history, motivation, and modus operandi (sp?). It doesn't go too far in depth, just one to five pages on each, but it is a nice summary of some of the more well-known and shocking killers. I haven't quite finished it, but it seems like a nice reference point, if I ever want to look up a fact or two. The funny thing is, my mom almost wouldn't let me get it. Oh, mothers... Hunter thinks I'm crazy for being so interested in killers (crimelibrary [link] is one of my hobbies), but the field of psychology can be very rewarding ($$$ anyone?)(jk). It pays well, and I find the whole thing very intriguing. And guess what I found the other day? A website that sells products with pictures of killers on them. [link] They have trading cards, t-shirts, posters, wall clocks, and even action figures! I don't know whether to be excited or appalled... But I do know that I want the Jack the Ripper and Vlad the Impaler tank tops and posters, and the Dahmer wall clock... It's official: I'm a freak...
